No Tech Weekend

So,
This weekend a friend of mine who I've known since 2007 had her 26th birthday party. She lives on this HUGE property with chickens and fire pits, you name it. For her birthday she wanted her closest friends to come out and just be low tech with her. There ended up being about 20 something, 20 something year olds and it was amazing. 5 or 6 acoustic guitars, blankets on the ground looking at the stars trying to catch a few falling ones for wishes. (I got 3)
What was best was I didn't really know most of them.. actually, I only knew her and one other. But it was great! I got to open up about my identity. That I cam, that I shoot budiour. All of it. A lot of the people there had seen my work when I shot her, which I do often and I got tons of compliments.
It felt so good. It just reassured me there's nothing to be ashamed of. If anything most of them just had questions as to what it's like and if I love it, and I do.
I just spent some time being accepted by my peers, singing Beatles songs, staring up at the sky, soaking up the sun and just really, fully being myself.
I haven't felt this good in so long.
It's wonderful.
